...That play in The A-Listers are a collective of professional musicians. Get to know them a little better here

 

Jules (Female Vocals)

Jules has worked extensively as a singer and actress in musical theatre including leading roles in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', 'Only the Lonely' and 'Elvis the Musical' among others. She also works as a session singer and writer, performing and writing various theme tunes and commercials including music featured on 'Neighbours', 'Home and Away', 'Family Affairs' and the theme tune for Delia Smith’s 'How to Cook'. She is currently working on her solo album 'Limerance', co-written with David Young.

 

 

Janine (Female Vocals)

Singing since the age of 16, Janine has taken lead roles in many productions including ’ Calamity Jane’, ‘Chess’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Janine co-writes and performs her own material and has performed in venues such as The Shepherds Bush Empire.

 

 

Sham (Female Vocals)

Singing since the age of 17, Sham’s musical career began with the lead role of Sandy in a musical theatre production of ‘Grease’. Since moving to London from Wales, Sham has performed for a variety of cover bands spanning a wide range of music. She co-writes her own material with her producer and is currently working with an up and coming new artist, Georgie Carter as a backing vocalist.

 

 

Guy (Male Vocals and Guitar)

Guy studied Popular Music and Recording in Manchester. He has worked extensively as a Singer and Guitarist for many function and tribute bands including; ‘Carte Blanche’, ‘Abba Magic’, ‘Probably Robbie’ (Robbie Williams Tribute), ‘Bjorn Again’ and ‘Green Dayz’ (Green Day Tribute). In 2003 he performed as Bjorn in the West End theatre show ‘Sing-a-Long-a-Abba’. He also played Bjorn in ‘Abba Mania’ in 2004 and 2005 touring UK theatres as well as tours in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Guy is also a session singer and has contributed lead and backing vocals for the composer Dan Teper, and Pete Waterman’s production team. He also fronts his own original rock band called ‘Seeker’ who are currently on the verge of releasing their debut album.

 

 

Ross (Male Vocals and Guitar)

Ross has been a song writer and a session musician for nearly four years. Having studied at ‘Guitar X’, a specialised Guitar course in London, Ross developed the skills needed to become a musician and more importantly create his own music. He started to play with various acts in and around the London area including ‘Kele le Roc’ (basement jaxx) and even toured the UK performing live on 45 ILR and BBC Radio stations with ‘Tori White’(who sung the Poppy appeal song in 2007). He has also travelled to Budapest and Sydney performing in shows directed by ‘Kim Gavin’ (Choreographer for Take That) in front of audiences up to 2000 people. He’s currently teaching, writing his own music and promoting his debut Ep ‘These four walls’ in and around London.

 

 

Nick (Male Vocals and Guitar)

Having played in bands since his early teens, the nineties saw a recording and publishing deal with rock / brit-pop band 'Silverstone'. Nick has also amassed huge recording experience including recording, programming and producing countless backing tracks for leading Karaoke companies. Recently he has been writing music for television and credits include 'Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen Nightmares' and work for BBC 2. He has played guitar for a number of musicals including 'Joseph', 'Little Shop of Horrors’ and 'Les Miserables'. When not gigging he  can be found teaching guitar and music technology at a public school in Canterbury and writing and recording a new project  for release in 2008 'The Honey Don’ts'.

 

 

Si (Bass Guitar)

Si attended the Canberra School of Music in Australia. He was asked to join the well known Australian band 'The Gadflys' then joined Sydney band 'Juggernaut' going straight into the studio with Tim Farris of 'INXS' to record an EP.  He writes a lot of his own material which lead him to being signed to Origin Music Publishing Australia. Si’s works have been used in various TV shows such as 'Big Brother' and more recently to promote the airline 'Qantas'.

 

 

Andreas (Bass Guitar)

Hailing from Denmark, Andreas relocated to London to join the British band 'Dweeb' and spent a short stint playing guitar for 'Innersleeve'. His expertise in production and co-writing has led him to work with Armand Van Helden, Nate James, Rollo Armstrong (Dido, Faithless), Liberty-X, D-Side and Lee Latchford Evans (Steps). Andreas recently remixed a Dave Matthews Band song for Rollo Armstrong's Ark Productions and Co-Produced Daz Sampson's Eurovision hit 'Teenage Life'.

 

 

Grant (Drums)

Grant has played the drums professionally since he was 19. He has toured and played with many acts both in the UK and abroad including Hot Chocolate, Hello and Paul King. He also has numerous recordings to his name and has recorded jingles for radio. His musical theatre shows include ‘Elvis the way it was’ and ‘Grease’ He has played in many tribute bands including; ‘Madonna’, ‘The Police’, ‘Alanis Morissette’, ‘Abba’, and most recently: ‘Probably Robbie’ (Robbie Williams Tribute), and ‘Green Dayz’ (Green Day Tribute). He is currently recording and working with the singer/songwriter ‘Cat’

 

 

Toby (Drums)

Toby’s career has taken him all over the world, playing drums and percussion within many genres. He has toured with various musical theatre shows and high profile pop acts, Live, on TV and in the Studio, for record labels including 'EMI', 'Universal' and 'V2'. He has recorded and toured with the likes of Sheila Ferguson of the 3 Degrees, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Anna Krantz, Tricia Mac and Liberty X. Apart from his work as an in-demand freelancer, Toby is involved with the exciting new pop act ‘The Yeah Yous’

 

 

Alan (Drums)

Alan Dale has been a working professional drummer since the age of 17. His touring work has included Dionne Warwick, The Drifters, Dr. Hook and Ben E. King, he has also performed with Bucks Fizz, Cannon and Ball, Brian Conley, Bernie Nolan, Sheila Ferguson and has supported Bryan Ferry. West end

theatrical credits to his name include ‘Cabaret’, ‘Guys And Dolls’, ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘The Rat Pack’, ‘Footloose’, ‘Dancing In The Streets’, ‘Wicked’, ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot’, ‘Dirty Dancing’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’, ‘Fame’, ‘Grease’, ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Billy Elliot’ to name a few! Also in 2003, Alan joined pop/rock outfit ‘The Watershed’ recording an album and is now putting the final touches to the band’s second album. Alan’s T.V. work includes ‘Musicality’ (Channel 4), ‘Musicool' (Channel 4), and ‘Any Dream Will Do’ (BBC 1).

 

 

Pete (Keyboards)

Pete studied at the Royal Academy of Music. A multi-instrumentalist, Pete has performed all over the UK and Europe including venues such as: 'Jazz Café', 'The National Theatre', 'Ronnie Scott’s Club', 'Birmingham Hippodrome', 'Royal Albert Hall', 'The Vortex' and 'The Royal Festival Hall'. He has recently worked with Alison Moyet, Shane Lynch (Boyzone), and Jamie Cullum.

 

 

Tim (Keyboards)

After gaining a music degree he moved to London. He soon developed his skills, style and contacts, eventually leading him to play around the world with legends such as Boy George, Thunder, Hot Chocolate, Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers), Lemar, Shane McGowan and Suggs (Madness). Tim has been musical director on the West End musical ‘Taboo’  and fulfilled the role of musical Director and arranger for a wide variety of projects, including orchestral work at Abbey Road studios. More currently, last year saw Tim perform with the ever-popular, ‘Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly’ at Glastonbury to a muddy but ecstatic crowd. He is also part of the upcoming live electronics group ‘Little Machines’, who are also soon to be making their mark in London.

 

 

Holger (Keyboards)

Holger started playing piano at the age of eight. He came to London from his native Germany to study at the London College of Music. During his career so far he has performed and recorded along side artists such as Pete King, Jeff Clyne, Tina May, Alan Barnes, John Wheatcroft, Steve Waterman, Alan Shaw, Mark Nightingale and many others. Apart from having played in most of the UK’s major live music venues and in over 20 different countries he has played for the guests of her Majesty the Queen and was awarded the Westminster prize for improvisation. He makes up part of the tribute band 'The Counterfeit Stones' and plays in the Balkan Fusion line-up 'Dark Raki'. He is also part-time tutor for keyboard and theory at the Institute for Contemporary Music Performance and Thames Valley University.

 

 

 Kevin (Keyboards)

Since moving to London Kevin has performed as a Musical Director. He is a keyboard player and organist. He has worked with Jeff Wayne (War Of The Worlds) and appeared with various jazz/funk bands, most recently with Ruth Hamilton’s Soul Jazz Collective and the London Jazz Collective. Kevin currently teaches at Tech Music Schools. He is also recording and gigging with his Hammond organ-led trio.
